Data Analyst

We are looking for a Data Analyst, who will be working with complex new data sources from various in-house and clients’ source systems and quickly turn them into data sets and create business insights through reports and dashboards. The Data Analyst will also participate in new scope and requirements, issue resolution, testing, and support activities to meet business needs and must set up proper processes to ensure durable, high-quality data reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write effective Python code to tackle complex issues, but also use your business sense and analytical abilities to glean valuable insights from public databases
  • Partners with the relevant stakeholders and to deliver the solution as per specific need.
  • Responsible for reviewing and analysing business requirements and designing technical solutions.
  • Create and deliver Business intelligence reports and dashboards according to the business needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external implementation team members and partners to develop, test, and deploy solutions.
  • Design and development of scalable, flexible, and extensible data models and reporting solutions.
  • Ensure that data models and reporting solutions adhere to best practices, standards, and principles aligning with business requirements and objectives.
  • Estimate and deliver multiple projects, assignments, and system change requests with the required quality according to agreed-upon resourcing and timelines.
  • Analyse structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources for quality, completeness, and business value.
  • Must have solid reverse engineering skills from reporting to tracing back to the source.
  • Responsible for governance and implementing robust reporting solutions using various tool sets (Power BI/Tableau/Alteryx/Databricks)
  • Manage and administrate various analytics platforms (Power BI/Alteryx/Tableau), including, but not limited to, license and contractual agreements with Vendors (if needed).
  • Develop cross-functional solid partnerships across the organization.

Required Skills to be Successful:

  • Expertise in Various Business intelligence reporting solutions such as Power and Tableau
  • Expertise in data ingestion, data processing, and analytical pipelines for big data, relational / non-relational databases, and data warehouse solutions
  • Worked on designing and developing cloud-based analytics solutions.
  • Designing and developing warehouse solutions using ADLS, ADF, Databricks, and Power BI.
  • Build workflows using data from various sources, including on-premises databases and external data sources.
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets and strong reverse engineering skills.
  • Expert in Writing, executing and debugging SQL queries.
  • Good Business acumen with the ability to connect data, analytics, and strategic thinking.
  • Strong attention to detail, result-driven with high accuracy of output.
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving aptitude and solid organizational capability.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computers or an allied field of study
  • Minimum 8+ years of proven experience in analytical/ insight roles in a fast-paced environment
  • 10+ years of experience in Business intelligence tools such as Power BI/Tableau/Alteryx.
  • Certification in Alteryx/Power BI will be considered an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages (Python/Scala) would be advantageous.
